What makes Top Shelf different?
We bring the party to you! When you book with Top Shelf, you never have to worry about hidden venue fees. Everything is customizable, so you know exactly what to expect.

Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! We offer discounts to any repeat clients.

Do you charge a travel fee?
We charge a standard travel fee for any events outside of the Colorado Springs area.

Why do I need to provide the alcohol?
We have found that clients providing their own alcohol offers a more customizable experience. If you like a very specific whiskey for your old fashioned, you probably know exactly where to get it. This makes the entire process less stressful for everyone!

Are your bartenders/mixologists experienced?
Yes! Any Top Shelf bartender that is mixing drinks is required to have a TIPS certification and at least 5 years of bartending experience. We are even more selective about our class instructors. Mixology instructors are required to have a TIPS certification, extensive bartending experience, and continuous learning in various aspects of the cocktail industry.

I want to do a cocktail class. How do I pick my cocktails?
We’re here to help! There are set cocktails for the classic and premier packages. However, the connoisseur package is a custom menu crafted specifically for you and your guests.

Do I need to provide the space for the class?
Unless we are hosting a class at a local venue, all cocktail classes are hosted on private property. Private classes are typically more affordable than buying tickets at a venue, as we don’t have to cover venue fees. So don’t be afraid to reach out!

What about allergies?
We take allergies very seriously. The majority of our products are made in a home kitchen that is not subject to licensure or inspection. We will do our best to accommodate allergies, however we cannot make any guarantees.

What's included in a class?
Each custom class includes instruction on 3 cocktails, bar kits for each guest (shakers, jiggers, bar mats, etc.), utensils and cups. We also include fun trivia questions and prizes (package dependent). All you need is you and your guests!

What if I don't see the cocktail/confection I want on the sample menus?
Our menus are bigger than just the sample menus you see on our site! If you don’t see something you like, please reach out for our full menus!

What is mobile bartending?
We offer a variety of packages to serve your specific needs. Typically, one (or more) of our bartenders will arrive 1.5 hours before your event to setup. They will be responsible for preparing and serving guests drinks, clearing glassware, and ensuring everyone is drinking responsibly.

Why do I need mobile bartending?
For many events where alcohol is served, a venue requires a certified and insured bartender to serve the drinks. That’s where we come in! Your safety is our number one priority and we are committed to ensuring you and your guests have a great time.

How many bartenders will be at my event?
Industry standard is 1 bartender for every 75 guests. This helps reduce waiting times and gives each guest the genuine cocktail experience!

What is a signature cocktail?
Your signature cocktail(s) can be anything you want! They are a great way to share your favorite drink with your guests and express who you are through a great craft cocktail. You can create custom signature drinks, or we have plenty of suggestions.

Why are bartenders in the full bar package more expensive?
In the full bar package, our bartenders will be mixing and creating a wide variety of drinks for you and your guests. Therefore, this package requires a more experienced mixologist. The higher hourly rate helps us ensure we can hire the best of the best!

How can I order custom confection/charcuterie by itself?
If you’d like custom items, please fill out the form on our contact page and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Otherwise, you can find the items we currently have available in our shop.
